I just finished the “Customer Service Skills Training Programme.” A short course conducted by Changi Airport group (CAG) to help us refresh and enhance our knowledge and skills in customer service and to teach us the Changi way of service.
We did a lot of fun and learning activities and one of them was the “positive first impression game.” It involves writing our first impression of someone we meet. The set up of the game – a sheet of paper with our name on top was taped on our back. Each of us have to write in a post-it our positive first impression of the person and paste it on his back. In the picture are my co-participants positive first impressions at me. Receiving their positive impressions made me happy and made my day.
The programme taught us to always have a positive mind-set especially when going to work. Words are a reflection of our thoughts. Positive words come from positive thoughts. It is really that simple. Positive words can bring happiness to people, so always give a positive words to everyone especially at work. It will make them feel happy too. Some people do not realize the words they use and how their words affect others. The feeling is so rewarding when you made a difference in someone else’s day. It can bring good karma and can make your day even more brighter. People who have a positive mind-set achieve more positive outcomes than those with a negative one.
