I had a lower right abdominal pain for about a day. At first I didn’t pay attention to it for the pain was still tolerable but then when I noticed the pain never go and found myself waking up early at 03:00Hr in the morning because of discomfort, I then decided to go to the hospital to see a doctor. I was worried for the symptoms were likely an appendicitis. The doctor have examined my blood, urine and have made an x-ray of my back and lower abdomen but they found nothing. I was a bit in relief to know that there’s no findings but I was wondering what was the caused of the pain.? Maybe I should assume it was just a muscle strain and peptic ulcer from jogging and working-out with a stomach empty before I had the pain. The doctor recommended me to undergo a “CT scan” but I refused when I came to know the amount I have to pay. It’s too much for me, it was almost half of my salary and that time I didn’t have that amount of money in my pocket. The doctor then asked me to sign a waiver and then gave me some medicines. The pain was gone the next day. Thanks God for the healing mercy.
I just realized there is nothing in our life which is more valuable than “good health.” Sometimes we work so hard to earn money that we even forget to take a rest. Our body is not indestructible if we don’t take care of our body it will just give up one day and the money we earned through hard work will only be spent for hospitalization or medications, our work will get affected until we lost our job and so as our income. Our precious time will be wasted lying down in bed instead of enjoying it, spending it with our love ones. We can’t do much and we become less productive. Everything we have – money, time and even possessions will all get into waste if we get sick. There’s no happiness & peace but pain, sufferings and expenses. We need more money for health and we must also find ways to get more health for the money.
I remember what my colleague have said. We called Him uncle for He is the oldest employee in our company. He is already 64yrs old but still fit and kicking. He works just for fun. He is funny, always giving foods to everyone and love to make dirty jokes but I learned something from Him.
He told me while I’m still young and have job I must take care of my future. I must invest on two things…Money and Health. Money to use to survive and sustain a comfortable life when I become old and jobless. And health as we get older our body inevitably start getting slower and weaker but atleast if we take care of our health we can remain fit and away from illness until we are very old. To stay fit and healthy, I must exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, stay away from bad habits like drinking and smoking and of course enough sleep and rest. Remember our health, our future depends on how we live today.
Have a happy and healthy life…Life is beautiful!!!
